Scott Addis - Yellow House

$4,000.00
Oil on Canvas
20 x 39.5 ″

Scott Addis (b. 1963) was Born in a small rural community just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1963. He now resides in Montreal, Quebec. His first teacher was his father, who taught him to love art and appreciate the outdoors through hunting and fishing trips where they would spend hours sketching. As a young man Addis moved to Cincinnati, where he studied under the artist Greg Storer. Storer taught the already talented young artist the importance of composition and value. As a student at the University of Cincinnati as well as with Igor Babailov Addis found inspiration in the artwork of George Innes, Joseph Mallord William Turner and James McNeill Whistler. Today, Addis and his family are settled in Montreal, where he is ever inspired by the Canadian landscape.
