Alison Shepard was born in Cincinnati, received a BFA from Northern Kentucky University, and a MFA from Miami University. She has taught art courses at the collegiate level and has worked with teens of ArtWorks Cincinnati on a few public art projects, but currently works full-time as a career artist. Her work has a dreamlike, storybook quality to it; she aims to capture poetic narratives in a realm beyond what we can see.
