Mohamed Nahar (b. February 2001, Khartoum, Sudan) is a Sudanese painter based in Ohio, United States. His earliest artistic influence came from watching his father sketch the faces of family members at home—an intimate experience that sparked his fascination with drawing and shaped his emotional connection to art. Watercolor later became his primary medium for its honesty, softness, and ability to translate feeling into color.
Nahar studied Painting at the College of Fine and Applied Arts, Sudan University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2025 after his education was interrupted by the war in Sudan and his relocation to the United States. Drawing from both his Sudanese roots and his life in the diaspora, his work focuses on everyday faces, streets, and quiet moments, revealing beauty in the ordinary and creating spaces for emotional connection.
