Aaron Morse's work is deliberately symbolic and unrealistic and yet still deeply engaged with human and environmental concerns. By using ambiguity he constructs narratives that can be interpreted in several distinct ways; his aim is not to tell the viewer what to see, but to present them with a possibility. Morse graduated with a BFA from the University of Arizona and a MFA from the University of Cincinnati. His work is part of the permanent collections of several notable institutions, including but not limited to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum, and the Museum of Modern Art.
