For many years after graduating with a B.A. in fine arts, Melinda Morrison made her living in corporate art. It was when she took an oil painting class at the Art Students' League of Denver that she felt her passion for fine art reignited; she spent the next five years training, and began a professional art career in 2003. She has since gained wide recognition for her impressionistic paintings of figures and animals, placing in several shows and competitions such as the Sedona International Art Competition and the International Figurative Show at the Salmagundi Art Club.
